POWERTRIB goes one step further. The new laboratory has been opened.

In July 2021, an idea became reality: We moved into our new laboratory in Crete, Greece.

After careful consideration and review of our R&D capabilities, the challenge of creating a highly advanced state-of-the-art laboratory was the main reason for us to take this step. It is our long-term goal to create net zero emissions while expanding and improving our products and services.

Everything is new, but in the same tried and tested quality.
Since September 2019 – even before the construction of the new laboratory – we have moved our equipment from Oxford to a temporary location on Crete and are carrying out our tests in the usual quality and at the highest level as Powertrib Europe I.K.E. However, Powertrib Limited in Oxford will continue to exist.

The new modern architecture on the base of an old olive oil press and home to the new Powertrib laboratory was tailored precisely to the needs of our requirements, planned accordingly and leaves nothing to be desired. From here we can provide our products and services in a future-oriented and sustainable way. We understand energy efficiency not only as the basis of our tribology test results but also the basis of our way of working. Equipping with solar panels and pushing the digitalization of our processes were therefore major concerns for us. In addition, through our new location we also support local resources and enable local people to become part of global projects.

We are pleased about this step, about the new possibilities and about the wonderful and need-oriented result of a very intensive time exhibiting tribology excellence.
